Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is used to balance mind and body through Asanas (Yoga poses), Pranayana (breath control), and the quieting of the mind through relaxation techniques and meditation. Asanas used with breath control promotes good posture, balance & strength. With a regular Yoga practice one can improve the body's physical health and purify the mind. Hatha represents opposite energies: hot and cold, fire and water, yin and yang, and male and female. A healthy Yoga practise brings balance through increased mind body awareness relieving chronic stress patterns in the body.
