Dry Cupping

Dry cupping is a technique used by Registered Massage Therapists which involves using a vacuum pump with plastic cups to produce suction on the soft tissues.  It can be used to treat a variety of conditions by promoting relaxation and increasing circulation. Dry cupping can also be used to help increase range of motion when placed around joints, decrease muscle tension by stretching the muscle and fascia as it rises into the cup, and breakdown scar tissues and adhesions. Cupping can also help to encourage healing and immunity, encourage detoxification and lymph drainage and aid in respiratory function.
