Marnie Bennett, Physiotherapist, Clinic Director

Even as a child, Marnie Bennett was fascinated by the world of physiotherapy and would often accompany her grandmother when she would volunteer at a local hospital’s physiotherapy department.

By the time she reached high school, Marnie was volunteering at a small hospital, still conscious of the amazing impact physiotherapists could have on getting injured and ill people back to living a normal life.

After high school she completed her honours Bachelour of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. She went on to complete her Physiotherapy Degree from McMaster University, graduating with distinction in 2001.

Over the next years she gained experience treating various orthopedic conditions and for seven of those years she operated her own practice. Her practice philosophy has never varied: she is extremely client-centred.

Marnie has completed advanced training in acupuncture, manual therapy, hand therapy and even canine rehabilitation (she is a dog lover).

When she is not working, Marnie enjoys being involved with the McMaster Physiotherapy Program through Clinic Lab tutoring, sitting on the Clinical Advisory Group, and guest lecturing at the university.

She loves spending time with her family, being active, and horseback riding.

Ron went on to work in a multidisciplinary clinic working alongside Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Kinesiologists . He spent the next 16 years learning various aspects of the rehabilitative model and developing his skills within a clinical setting. Due to Ron's strong affinity to learn and grow as a therapist, he decided to return to school. Ron obtained a Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice in 2013. He competently integrates both disciplines to assess and treat the individual needs of each patient. One of Ron's main approaches is to "Find the Cause and Treat the Cause". He believes that treating symptoms such as pain, are only a temporary fix. Searching for the underlying cause of dysfunction and addressing the specific issues are the best approach to returning the body back to balance, homeostasis and normal function.

Outside of work, Ron enjoys spending his time with family and friends. He has also been a lifelong learner in the health and fitness industry with over 30 plus years experience training in the gym.

Cristian enjoys and sees the importance in discussing a treatment plan which includes a home program to promote a speedy recovery.

Please consult your physician if you need a prescription for extended health care benefits. Consult your physiotherapist if you need a recommendation.
